'La Revolución de Emiliano Zapata' formed in Guadalajara in the late 1960's .Influenced by US 'psychedelic rock' broadcasted from the other side of the Mexican border. The band won a radio talent contest. First prize was an audition for a record company . Which secured a deal with 'Polydor' . In 1969 the band re-located in Mexico City. Where they recorded their self titled debut album, .. 'Nasty Sex was released as a single. Becoming a hit worldwide , not a massive smash. Big enough for the band to hit the road , touring the US and Europe. The follow up single 'Shit City' didn't do to well, I wonder why. Should have gone with 'At the Foot of the Mountain' .A beautiful tune. Out of step with the rest of the album . 'La Revolución de Emiliano Zapata' play a trippy brand of rock and roll, pop hooks , fuzzed up guitars.... another overlooked gem....

1. Nasty Sex 7:32
2. Melynda 5:00
3. I Wanna Know 3:43
4. If You Want It 3:47
5. Ciudad Perdida 4:32
6. A King's Talks 4:29
7. Still Don't (Not Yet) 3:10
8. At the Foot of the Mountain 4:30
9. Under Heavens - 4 :00

Great album. They still play in Guadalajara once or twice a week. Regards.
Good to hear ..Is it the original line up..
No, but they don't sound bad either, If you liked them, I recommend you The Spiders, another band from Guadalajara, their first record is the best one, it's called 'Back' from 1970. You canfind it here, hope you enjoy it.
